I just wanted to update everyone and myself of how I have been doing with eating better with my adventure towards weight loss. I actually have ate more at home this past two weeks than I have in the last few months. Which for me is good means I have options at home to eat and that I want to eat. I am being much more cautious of what I put into my body deciding if I really want to eat that bag of chips or go eat some oranges. I have been good and picking the oranges. My friends at work have been really supportive of helping me and giving me tips because they know I struggle with it. It helps having the encouragement of my friends, family, coworkers and teammates.
This past week I had to turn in my passport to wellness for work which was a part of a competition to see who could get the most stamps by eating at least 5 servings of fruits and veggie, 64 oz of water and exercising at least 30 minutes a day. I actually did really good with the competition. It is like ingrained in me to drink water daily and eat fruit and veggies. People can tell that I am getting slimmer which is a good thing . For me I am making slow improvement but I plan on them to be long lasting . I have been overweight/obese since I was 10 years that equals 14 years, more than half my life at this point. It’s time for me to make a change and get healthy which I am doing . I won’t ever be pencil thin, I’m built too much like a short leprechaun linebacker for that but I can get down in weight. That way I can be a beast at my size and my height will no longer be an issue . For me the ground levels the playing field so I’m just going to have use it to my advantage.
